Day #28 28 Down and 7 To Go

Day#28 Monday Feb.1,2010 WHEWWWW! I only have 7 more treatments to go. All of my treatments lately have been at 11:00 am but, they need to move some things around so I went in today at 7:40 a.m.! Man , that's early for me, I have been spoiled. Traffic could have been bad but for some reason it was moving along at a good pace and I got to RT in about 25 minutes. That drive at that time of the morning could take over 1 hr. on some mornings. I didn't even have time to open a magazine before they called me for my RT. When I got in there, they already had my ESPN on and they were talking Saints football. All the techs knew I was happy since all of my outfits that I wear to go there is Saints gear. I have about 5 caps, 5 Shirts and a new Saints hoody jacket. Okay, treatment went well and before I knew it, it was over. As soon as they took my mask off, all I could think about was " Only 7 more to go". Next Wednesday has a been circle on my calendar. Yesterday was a drab day for me. It was Sunday but it felt like the middle of the week. I think yesterday might have been the worse day yet for mucus. I know I have said that before, what I should say is that- up to this point- this is the worse yet. It was so bad that I had 3 nose bleeds from the pressure of gaging so much because of the mucus. I gargled about 12-15 times. During the night, I got up about 5 times to gargle. Getting up that many times during the night takes it's toll on me. I was so tired this morning that I thought about not going in. I quickly changed my mind when I realized how few treatments I have left. So far today the mucus hasnt been quiet as bad. I have beem able to drink a glass of water. Yesterday, I wasn't able to drink much, maybe only 1 glass all day, which is not enough. Super Bowl Sunday is getting close. Go SAINTS!
