Day#29 Tuesday Feb.2, 2010
Can you believe it? Only 6 treatments left to go and it couldn't come sooner. I am tired and ready to rap this up and put it behind me. Today''s treatment was at 11am and we arrived on time. They took me as soon as we got there, which is fine with me. They had my ESPN on and I got undressed and laid on the table. A few new faces were in there again today. They locked me down and treatment #29 was on it's way. It went by really fast and before you know it, they were taken the mask off of me. Since it is Tuesday, I had to meet with Dr. Holland today. My weight today was 165.6 lbs. A little less than last week but the doc said no problem. They are really surprised how the skin on my face has help up during the RT. I can't believe it either. I thought it would be really bad but, it actually looks a little better. Dr. Holland looked in my mouth and thought I was doing great. I do need to work on my face, jaw and tongue excerises a little more. We talked about trying a new formula for the pain in my mouth. It's a cocktail may up of - Benadryl, Maloxx and Lidocaine. I will try this in a couple of hours. It is supposed to help with the mouth pain. Let's hope it works. This morning was a really bad morning with the mucus situation. I did sleep all night last night. I didn't get up one time to go to the bathroom with the mucus problem. Like I said though, I paid for it this morning----wow. That stuff gets scarey. Sometimes you just can't breathe because the mucus is so thick. For the mucus, I will try rinsing a few more time per day. Dr. Holland thinks this may help. Again, we shall see.
Okay, now I can say it 20 Down and only 6 To Go
